Bloons TD5

All of my progress gone
I haven't played in a few weeks and decided fire up Bloons for some TD fun. Only to find all of my progress gone. I was working toward unlocking Mastery Mode for Expert last time I played. I had unlocked most (if not all) of the Special Agent upgrades. Had spent well over 100 gold coins in the lab.

This is not something that can just be redone in a couple hours.

How do I get my stuff back? Because this is bs.

All data is saved locally on your computer unless you manually backup the game using the built in cloud storage feature. Sadly there is no way for the devs to recover your save.

Did anything out of the ordinary happen when you had last played the game like a cpu or game crash?

For anyone else who stumbles upon this thread, I highly suggest using the manual cloud save feature built into this game (doesn't have to be used after every time you play, but at least use it once in a while) in case something happens to your local data, like in the OP's case...

I was using the cloud save. ALL of my progress is gone, which includes my cloud save, which was last updated the last time I played several weeks ago. In fact, it now says "Last modified 1970/01/1". The first time I used the cloud save, it didn't have a "last modified" date.

This is a screw up on the devs' end. I'm not the first person to have this problem.

Except that my cloud save is gone, too. So even that's not helpful.

Not that it matters, but I have almost 130 hours invested into the game. Steam still has my 52 achievements recorded. This is something the devs screwed up.

The loss of cloud save is something i have seen very rarely while watching the forums. Did anything out of the ordinary happen last time you had played the game?

It would be nice to get more info on what heppened beford the data loss for the devs so that they can pinpont and resolve this issue.

Nothing unusual, no. It saved perfectly fine to the cloud.

The only thing that's changed since last time I played is Update 3.9.

So it took away your cloud save also... very weird... I can't say that I've heard of many cases like that...

Neither have I. If i t had just been my local files, I could blame Windows. But to lose my cloud save, too... That's a result of something I couldn't have affected.

Clearly the devs don't care about this, though. A shame. I always considered NinjaKiwi to be a respectable lot. Live and learn, I suppose.

not many moderators or devs look at this forum so its basicly up to the community if somthing goes wrong

I lost my save, too. I saw they updated the game, I reinstalled it on my computer, and I was listed as being level 1. My cloud save was some old save, level 49, and barely anything upgraded.

The last time I played the game a few months ago, I had unlocked mastery of all beginner and intermediate tracks, I think advanced as well. I lost ALL of that.

MY PC crashed 3 times two weeks ago playing Puzzle Quest 2, and that corrupted a game file there, which meant I lost all THAT progress, but my Bloons TD 5 data shouldn't have been impacted, since the game wasn't even installed at that point, and I hadn't touched it since months ago.

Either way, I'm extremely frustrated, and disheartened, same as OP. Losing ALL that progress sucks. The only way I'd even try to play the game again is if they did something like allow quicker unlock of mastery mode, and/or allow you to IMMENSELY speed up the rounds. Something like 50x speed, because after awhile, it's just way too tedious and time-consuming to go through all the levels again.

not only does this happen to the steam version but this also happens twice a year on the ninja kiwi website along with all the other places you can find it on the internet.im pretty sure they do it on purpose that way you keep playing it over and over again

I have been playing the game on and off since it came out on flash and have never lost my save on flash, steam, or mobile. I have tried multiple methods to try and lose my save from what people have said happened when they lost their save. None of it has caused mine to be deleted.

I have seen and replied to many of these topics in the past couple years with most of them being atributed to people not making use of the manual cloud save feature. Very few have had a cloud save be lost but enough to prompt me to make a manual backup of the game and put it on my external harddrive.

i actually lost my cloud save 2x in the past 2 weeks i made a cloud save right after my first game. then i noticed it was reverted the next day. i thought maybe i was crazy and didnt actually confirm or something so i tried it again.

Next time i looked it was reverted to Rank 1. [Just before this comment]

Somethings going on..

Sorry this happened to you and for the delay in replying! Have you updated your machine or Steam recently? Also, did you have problems with any other games or just BTD 5? :)

i had that too :C thats why i didnt play the game for a long time... but now iam playing it again caus germanletsplay played it today :D
