can´t start the game

i have created a name, now the game wants a name for player 2, oke done, now for player 3, wtf ??
don´t have a "player 3" ...none of the controls are working...
can´t quit this by pressing esc or any other button

and yeah, unplugged the controller, and still no single player working...after takin my name it still wants player 2...

Please disconnect all controllers. If the game can detect a controller then automaticly will try to create an account for that controller. Big Picture with one player controller soon with a patch.

Do you have any controller related device? Like Guitar Hero or similar? We will look closer to the problem anyway.

nope just my mouse and keyboard, controller is a razer sabretooth, connects via usb, but as i said it´s unplugged...

pc rebootet, without controller, game deinstalled and reinstalled, still the same problem

Have the same problem and over the past 6 years to the computer has never connected no controller.

There's Big Screen patch on the way for this game with better controllers support :)

I have this issue as well but i have a full race simulator so its not very easy to unplug all controllers looking fowards to the patch cant wait to try the game soon

You can easily turn off controlling via gamepads (or/and other usb devices recognized as gamepads). You'll be able to control launcher using mouse or keyboard. Go to Heavy Fire: Afghanistan local files (game properties -> files -> browse local files). Navigate to /data/launcher/ and open launcher.cfg in text editr (for example Notepad++ ). Edit line no 61, "control_menu_via_gamepad" and set this variable to 0. Save, launch game :)

data/launcher?? folder don´t exist - searched for launcher.cfg in the local files, not found.
