Patch 2.99.12 released
We have just released 2.99.12. With it, we have started to balance the diplomacy system:

  1. Improving your Diplomacy technology with a Corporation will now also reduce the penalty its building causes with its rival Corp.

    E.g.: Let’s say you build the Eco Corp building, as long as you developed the Diplomacy technology with Industrials (Eco’s rival) this will be the building's effect on your reputation:

    Depending on your Eco's Diplomacy level:
    1: -1 Daily Rep with Industrials
    2: -0.9 Daily Rep with Industrials
    3: -0.8 Daily Rep with Industrials
    4: -0.7 Daily Rep with Industrials
    5: -0.6 Daily Rep with Industrials
    6: -0.5 Daily Rep with Industrials (And, as previously, allows a second Eco Corp building).

    *In the previous patch, it was always -1.
    **We have added this information to the diplomacy technology description that you can find in the tech panel.

  2. On the other hand, the Relationship technology (which unlocks the Monuments and improve the reputation gain), will continue as in previous version:
    An Eco's Monument will produce relationship with them, depending on your relationship level:

    1: +0.1 Rep with Ecos
    2: +0.2 Rep with Ecos
    3: +0.3 Rep with Ecos
    4: +0.4 Rep with Ecos
    5: +0.5 Rep with Ecos
    6: Allows a second Monument to be built.

• For the UI, we have changed how the panel with the list of buildings to build behaves. Before this patch, it was self-closing after pressing any key, but now, instead of anykey it will close with the ESC key.

• Some of the demand quests, like the one asking for a water supply, were wrongly counting the amount of items produced.


For the next patch we will continue tweaking the diplomacy system:
To make more interesting investing in good relations, you’ll be rewarded by Corps with a special char (those created by players through the new DLCs) of their profile (that you will choose) when reaching the friendly (75) and very friendly (90) reputation with them.

So each Corp, including VR, may send you up to 2 special chars. The first when you reach the friendly relationship, and the second when you achieve the very friendly relationship.

Another one we are studying:
If you have enough relation with the Vital Reserve, it may sell you a new item for Diplomatic Immunity with a Corp, preventing attacks on you for a period of time.

Ah, thanks! The only real "show-stopper" eliminated I found since I played this game.
