Feeling mighty stupid

So. I went thru the tutorials and now started my first own "colony". I chose the industrialists.

So. Oh. What am I like supposed to do? Tutorials showed me how to make food by sending my ship out there, but I can't do that because I can't buy the blueprint. Only thing I can manufacture is water and salt, everything else requires a blueprint I can't acquire. Absolute everything else. What did the tutorials forget the tell that I just can't figure out?

Game hint system reminds me that I can collect waste from hostels, but I can't (lack of blueprint I guess). And it suggests I buy another ship - but can't get first one to fly (lack of blueprint). Quest is to manufacture something I cannot.

I must be super tired.

You should have blueprints in your inventory (not ready-to-use ones, but rather templates). They come in 4 colors, and you can turn that template into any blueprint of that color by clicking it.
I think Vital Reserve has some blueprint template packages to sell on the market, and you can make your own in a programming lab.
