Survival Mode introduces a brand-new challenge with the following features:

1. Three Major Stages – Survival Mode consists of three stages, corresponding to Levels 1–4, 5–8, and 9–12 in the traditional mode.
2. Weapon Carry Limit – Players can carry up to 16 weapons, but once a weapon runs out of ammo, it will be discarded.
3. True Survival Challenge – You only have one life. Once you die, the game is over.
4. Military Budget System – Your score is converted into a military budget, which can be used to upgrade or modify weapons, helping you survive longer on the battlefield.

You can also create your own Survival Mode Mod and share it with the community!

The Dinosaur Legion, originating from our sister title Dino Strike, is bringing an unprecedented combat experience to Commando2! These prehistoric creatures are not only massive in size but also possess unique battle mechanics. Can you survive the hail of bullets while facing these ancient beasts?

2, Exclusive to the Workshop – Challenge Awaits!
These dinosaurs won’t appear in official missions but are exclusive to player-created levels! Head to the Workshop, design your own custom battlefield, and integrate the Dinosaur Legion into your creations. Your creativity is eagerly awaited by countless players!

Update Notes:

1. After nearly two months of hard work, we have completed the interface development for all enemies and objects. Now, every element from the original version can be freely edited into any level.

2. Some objects, such as wooden houses, wooden doors, and transport planes, have new features that allow them to summon a wider variety of enemies compared to the original game.

3. Each time you edit a section of the map, the original level data for that area will be replaced with your new edits.

4. Due to time constraints, most enemies and mounts currently lack water detection. So if you see enemies walking on water or elephants gliding across the surface, please don't be surprised! We will decide based on player feedback whether to refine these details or keep them as humorous “quirky bugs.”

The details of this update are as follows:

1. The success of Workshop items heavily relies on having a high-quality thumbnail. This update adds a thumbnail upload feature. The 'Thumbnail' button is located to the left of 'Upload Update.' For players who have already published items in the Workshop, it's time to wake up and update your thumbnails!

2. Added debugging features to facilitate testing your creations in the Workshop: Press Z to display terrain, X to hide terrain, and C to skip levels.

3, Added the preview of the level editing.

Detailed updates are as follows:

1. Weapon Firing Rate Configuration
- The previously incomplete weapon firing adjustment feature is now fully implemented. Players can freely customize weapon firing bullet numbers.

2. Enhanced Enemy Editing
- In the previous version, only three standard enemy soldiers could be edited. This update expands the editing capability to include all enemies and hostile mechanisms.

3. Scrollable Description Box
- A scroll bar has been added to the description box for player creations, making it easier to view and manage longer content.

1. Enhanced Value Editing
Workshop value editing has been improved, allowing direct input via keyboard for easier operation.

2. Fixed Content Overwrite Issue
Resolved an issue where a player’s creation might be overwritten by another player’s work while editing.

3. Fixed Projectile Offset in Enlarged Mode
Addressed the projectile offset issue that occurred when the player character was enlarged.

Commando 2 Update Notes:

1. New Steam Workshop System: Players can now edit and publish their own unique game versions in the Workshop. Current customizable features include player abilities, weapon attributes, certain enemy characteristics, and game mode settings. A level editor is also in the works, so eager players can claim their spot early and continue refining their content once the editor is fully developed!

2. Boss Item Drop Adjustment: The rocket in the third phase of the Stage 4 Boss will no longer drop score-boosting items, preventing potential score-farming and ensuring leaderboard fairness.

3. Increased Leaderboard Score Limit: The maximum achievable score on the leaderboard has been raised, giving players even more room to chase high scores!

Yesterday, we launched the achievement system, and I almost got “chased” by players~~~ It turns out the achievements were set way too hard! We’ve now significantly lowered the achievement requirements. For details on how to unlock them, please check the achievement descriptions.

The current 24 achievements are just a preliminary attempt, and there will be more fun achievements coming in future updates. Players are incredibly creative! For example, what do you think of the achievement list proposed by player WhiteNoise? Feel free to share your feedback!

This update is as follows:

1. Game Packaging Update: We have changed the packaging of the entire game collection, which now supports STEAM Achievements and Leaderboards. 24 new achievements have been added to the traditional mode of Commando 2, which can be viewed via the “Achievements” button on the start page. However, you can't just turn on mods and mindlessly raid to complete these achievements!

2. New Survivor Mode Preview: We've added a Survivor Mode Preview to Commando 2 with the following features:
- The modifier bar will change to 10 gun storage spaces, and instead of bullet boxes, Survivor Mode will offer a variety of weapons for players to pick up, each of which will be discarded when they run out.
- Many new enemies will be welcomed in the preview levels, so you can meet them first in the first level.
- Survivor Mode levels will be reorganized and will be interspersed with various mini-achievements for more challenge.

3. Community Feedback Fixes: Based on feedback from the Commando player base, we have fixed many minor issues raised by players, not listed individually, but every detail has been fully optimized.

4. Due to the updated engine, the location of the save file has changed, and you cannot inherit the old save file directly. If you want to inherit the old save file, please start the game once and then quit, so that the new engine will create a new save directory, and then manually move the old save over.
The old save should be located at:
