Steam Deck Issue

I play this game a lot on my Steam Deck until one of the recent updates seemed to break something (or very possibly I changed a setting that I didn't know I did...). Before, I could use the touch screen to navigate the menus and select artifacts, skills, etc.
At some point, I was unable to use the touch screen- all it did was force the cursor to the center of the screen- and using the controller worked fine. Recently, I was able to use the touch screen again (yay!), but now I have another problem.
When you're selecting your artifacts in the weapon/difficulty screen, I've only been able to do so with the touch screen, as the controller doesn't seem to work. Nothing I do seems to be able to get the cursor to select the different artifacts, and using the touch screen doesn't effect anything. Everything else works fine, such as selecting the weapon, the skills and the actual combat in the game is great.
I know the game is *technically* not designed with the Steam Deck in mind, but it's worked really well in the past. The inability to change my artifacts, however, makes it so I really can't play very well. Does anyone have a solution I can try out?

Hey just curious if you ever found a solution to the problem or if it got resolved. I'm on the fence about getting on steam deck

For whatever reason, the issue mostly just resolved itself. I didn't see any updates to the game, but I got on about a week later and the touch screen seems to... mostly work. Honestly, the only real headache with using the steam deck is just the prep area where you are choosing your artifacts and weapon for the run. Everything else runs super smooth and works great. Gets a touch laggy when you've got a million mobs on the screen along with your huge attacks, but it's nothing that really affects the gameplay any.
