Some players are just lost on this game and should go on RUST but most are just fine.
The game is kind of souls-like "Happy Farm" and it is always been like that. So why would someone be upset about it?
Not only it is a free game, no one forces you to play it. If you don't like it the way it is just delete it, shut down your PC and go out touch grass.
Imagine being the exact kind of person the post is talking about, and having absolutely no clue whatsoever.
Yeah you pretty much have to. The custom clients now allow you to "drop all" victims gear to the ground instantly after you KO them. If that's not ♥♥♥♥♥♥ I dunno what is lol
Not that it still works perfectly, but this is WAAAY better than the previous versions which I could maybe get to work for a day or two before it broke and I had to try to get it to work again taking DAYS to do so. This is actually works!
The only gripe I have is that I'd like to chose to be girl, cause you know, I'm a girl. Still naked at this point but ehhh, I'm working on it.
Back in the day I've only ever encountered ONE player and that player just NOPED out away from me. I think another thing would be nice is to yes be able to set up your own private worlds, for money of course. I missed this game so much and I am SO glad it's back!
This game is like the wild west but without enough actual consequence to acting like a massive ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to balance it out. If you start late, you're a hermit, or you're just not fast enough/don't have enough time in a day to play, you will be quickly eclipsed in combat power and there's nothing you can do to catch up but join a large village and hope you won't be wiped out in a war. People will ♥♥♥♥ with you just because they can, even if there is nothing to gain but satisfaction. You will see rampant racism, asian black jewish you name it. Devs welcome this actually, they feel the game should be as accurate to real life as possible aka free and governed by the players, but with regular wipes killing anything that could eventually develop in such a social experiment and without the rest of what happens in real life like police forces, governments, cooperative societies where there is enough reason to behave that burglary and murder won't be a daily affair. There aren't enough vigilantes and friendly veteran players in this community to even out the ones who just get a kick out of triggering the snowflakes by flying Nazi flags and committing genocide, and if you'd like to be that kind of person you once again better have resources and time on your side or you will be capped by the hundred-person village cramming the cured meat of every bear on the continent down their warriors' gullets.
♥♥♥♥, this game even gave me nightmares when things were going fine. Always something to the tune of my walls are breached, the pit in my stomach becomes a 500lb lead brick, and months of my life disappear in the blink of an eye as my character is cut through by a b12 like a hot knife through butter. It's an experience like no other, but is it worth it? Only you can answer that, and I still don't know the answer for myself. The older I get, the less time I have and the more I value each moment, the less I want to come back.
Ideal scenario: devs get over themselves and make a PvE server or allow us to host our own, so an excellent indie game can be enjoyed with higher quality people. Hell, I would pay good money to be allowed to run a server. I don't think they are so motivated by money though or they'd adapt their game to a bigger audience and actually advertise it instead of rely on their existing fanbase to fund it. Adding it to steam was a major surprise in that regard.
