How do we get seeds now?

It seems that the wild windsown weeds no longer exist, so how do we get seeds of hemp and flax and other seeds not found naturally in the world?

There are wild plants in various locations, you can harvest them to get primitive seeds which you can plant. They eventually turn into 'normal' crops.

They do still exist, but are based on player-grown non-primitive crops. Nobody has the advanced crops yet, so no WWWs are spawning at this moment.

Just to be clear you mean primitive seeds like the wild flowers and standing grass etc? And they need the proc from growing and not harvesting?

Just to be clear you mean primitive seeds like the wild flowers and standing grass etc? And they need the proc from growing and not harvesting?

WWW's proc from the harvest I believe, only of cultivated crops tho. So you won't see em til a week in or more. Almost two I think last time was.

Right, its a catch up mechanic, I was talking about getting normal crops, do the proc at time of harvest or grow that way? Essentially, can I get a normal crop from wild fields?

oh right sure (was building my palisade and only half reading haha)

Domesticated crops proc on harvest of wild crops, but not every time. Just keep planting your wild crops til they're all domesticated.

Last world I noticed entire patches that you plant at once will all proc at the same time.

A player has to plant them for them to proc as cultivated crops. The wild crops out in the wilderness will never, ever proc, unless a player planted them.

Wild crops will never become domesticated without being planted by someone. Make a farm and keep trying til you get em. Quicker than waiting for www's.
