"In-Game Purchases"
Welp, the Release Date Trailer basically confirmed that the game will have microtransactions just like the last few Disgaea games.
I hate this. I hate this more than anybody could ever understand.
(UPDATE 1/24/2025) Welp, I just checked the eShop, and I can confirm that the game does indeed have microtransactions like in Disgaea 6 & 7. And I still hate that people are somehow okay with this.

Don't worry the base game is also going to be 120$ to boot. If you want the season pass it will be 200$ but there will be a week one edition that's going to be 2% off and will give you 2 extra colors for the furry and a 4k background of a random NISA employee doing a goatse.

...Are you mocking me? This is a serious issue, you know.

who cares about MTX? All it's gonna be is "get a headstart with money, mana, boost tickets" and useless crap like that. five minute of serious gaming and you already have the equivalent while barely trying.
Don't buy it: they wont force you to buy and they wont care if you don't. Beside, if you wanna cheat in a grindy game, there are other alternatives... Not that you would need in games like these but... nobody will bat an eye whether you buy the cheating ticket or mess with numbers. And even if there is a leaderboard of sort, it's gonna be useless and worthless... like every other NIS games.

How is it more serious to talk about legal cheating rather than mock the stupid initial price the game's gonna be? those cheat will be useless no matter what you do or think, like ALWAYS. How is that a serious topic? The less people buy it the less likely NIS are likely to put them in the next game. it's that simple.
If people want to waste money on something they're never gonna use, or waste it on the worst stage possible or messing up their grinding stage or in a random dungeon... that's their choice.

I'm sure there's gonna be the same basic mechanic as the first game, and maybe a grind variant available to make/discover. I don't think it's gonna change much other than half an hour of spamming A/X/B or whatever button you're gonna use.

again... how is that of any importance over the game's price? if you don't buy the boost ticket then why would it ever matter to you or anyone else. I'd much rather know how much the game's gonna cost and whether or not there's going to be that disgusting battle pass ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥...

The fact that this game will cost $60 makes its likely inclusion of microtransactions even worse.
Microtransactions do not belong in games, period. Especially ones you have to pay for.

It's referring to the DLC characters. That's all.

Nah it's the microtransactions like Disgaea 6 or 7
EXP boost something like that, for shortcuts

The scary thing is that I can see doing this.

NIS América, still picking up on their product sheets. It's painful actually:

English, Japanese

You don't have to spend anything besides buying the main (full) game, right? It's not like they lock the ending behind a micro transactions?

We don't know. The game releases on consoles in 5 days, so we'll have to wait and see.

It's extremely bad for these games for NIS to start adding pay-to-win microtransactions like they did with Disgaea. I don't think it's any coincidence that the first mainline Disgaea game to have microtransaction boosts was also by far the most grindy and time wasting.
I see.

Usually I just ignore them cause they are usually items that gives you extra money, or boost experiences, or some such.

As long as it is not necessary to purchase any IAP to fully enjoy the game from start to end I am fine.

I am more concerned with bugs, crashes, gameplay issues, etc and they always take their sweet time to patch them up, if we are lucky that is that they do something about it, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like that pisses me off.

NIS has had MTX and DLC characters in all of their main games since like Disgaea 3. You shouldn't be surprised by this. It's not "the past few games" it's been like this for almost 2 decades now. Mocking surprise after a developer has done the same thing across dozens of games for 17+ years is certainly a choice.

Not everyone has been following NIS for 17 years, sorry.
I'm not a fan either but either don't buy them or wait for the complete version to go on sale
