Buy a seed?

Hi guys.
I have found my passion watering plants in the game. But the seed for vegetables are fairly expensive. Do you normally buy seeds to plant or just use those NPCs give you?

I'd first do some quests and see what they give you :) plus with unlocking the new parts of the
island you also get some new trees with new fruits to plant :P

Buy the seeds.

Plant a few extra fruit trees, then sell fruit, fish and bugs.
Eventually you'll have a couple hundred thousand gems and can plant fields full of pineapples if you want.
