Daily Reward + Profile Questions!

I'm new to this cute, fun, fluffy, awesomeone new game and have 2 questions.

1) How does the daily reward system work? Is it I login every day for 1 second and get a free item or do I actually need to fill that D-coin bar up to max? I noticed if inventory is full items go into storage but is storage closet space unlimited?

2) I notice when I collect a bug there is a leaderboard. I am guessing the size is random or is it based off my game progress/ level/ tool used too? But sometimes I see some have profile pictures next to their names. I'd like to upload a picure to so how do I do that!

If you do the things listed under Dailies you earn the points, up to 250 per 24 hours. Once you reach your 250 for the day you wait till the next.

From what i have seen thus far (as a hoarder) the storage does appear to have no limit, or some insanely large one. Or maybe they read this, realize its a bug and hot fix it now. :)

Bug size is random as it gets. Everything is Random Number Generated from what Ive seen.
Pictures are likely their steam avatar unless you see something im oblivious to.

The only leaderboard that seems not to count the size of the actual item you pick up is the shells. That one has a couple posts on it if you search the discussions cause it seems to do some kind of tally of accumulated shells or something.

But the leaderboards in 3-4 months of daily play never change, i posted about it once, and the dev said it was broken, intended to change weekly but it to does not. (or didn't a couple months ago).

I saw mention when I started a new game that I get something when I log on every day. I thought that was seperate from the daily "quest" system. Its not then?

The free gift is not part of the Daily Quest. You get a free gift each day you play. You do not lose anything if you skip a day, you will get whatever was scheduled next. When you first start out, there will be days that unlock a collection, such as the French collection. When the collection unlocks, you can buy items from it with the gems that you've been earning.

I don't understand how tge daily quests work as it's IMPOSSIBLE to get to 250 even when you complete the whole list. Only adds up to 145 so how on earth do you get the 3rd item listed? You can't get enough to redeem it?

The Daily Quest list refreshes every two hours. Mine refreshes at 8 am, then at 10 am, then at noon, etc. You will need to do the quests in at least one more list. You can wait for the list to refresh to continue or you can use the button at the bottom of the list to pay 2500 to get the next list.

You may not need to wait two hours for the list to refresh because it will refresh at the same times for you each day. It is even possible that the list will refresh before you have completed the first one. For instance, if you start a game at 9:50, the list will refresh at 10:00 even if you have not completed the first list.

The list will refresh every two hours all day long until you get your 250 points.
