Good ways to get gods attention?

Gods of zee can be quite helpful. Some random events let you pray to them and get stat bonuses, there is also event at the Salt Lions, and, of course, they sometimes help when you run out of fuel. But how do i get their attention? I know about temple in Wither, but it is kinda expensive. And Hunter's keep gets destroyed at some point.
So what are other ways? I found out giving out Hunting Trophy in Abbey Rock gives you Stone's Attention. There are also some random events, but are there more reliable ways, like this?

You could look it up on wiki. I think some info is incomplete or dated but it's still useful.

I don't know of reliable ways to get their attention other than the shrine at Whither and at Hunter's Keep. Usually I'll just leave Hunter's Keep alone until I want it.

Yeah I would just go with Whither myself, best save up for visits to the temple there.

It is not a very reliable way, but being at least one zailor short of the maximum, you can accept a raggedy fellow in Venderbight if something awaits you in port.
Then, when aboard, you can have an event where you can allow him to keep his shrine to Salt, thus granting you its favor.
Its a bit random, first getting his event at Venderbight, then aboard, but it happened to me quite often so maybe the probabilities are high.

Salt: farm SAYs in venderbight until you pick up a crewmember and let him keep his shrine.
Stone: bring 1 hunting trophy to abbey rock as a gift
Storm: farm SAYs in whither until you get it.
