I also didn't really find guns particularly important to me in the early days, and didn't bother upgrading until I had over 15k echoes, so unless you're very combative, the echoes sound more useful.
Fairly much agreed. And on the point of this discussion, I don't even know if I'm more disappointed in the prospect of the diliberate cheat, or the fact that it's not even being used to max effect, just sail between London and Hunter's keep about 10 times give or take and you have a scion legacy for both the gun and 50% of funds or 100% of funds...
And don't even try to call that economically infeasabile, you get two provisions (40 echo cost) for free at hunter's keep, plus the memories of distant shores for your kid, plus the port report's fuel. And this all before any of the pirates loot. After you get 5 memories, you wouldn't even need to spend fuel anymore, just sit in the dock until SAY.
P.S. if any Devs see this, and it hasn't been implemented, it might be a good idea to allow a given gift to increase 'zee feavor' only once. If this is already a thing and I just missed it, fantastic, thanks for the game.
Also you should definitely make a sacrifice to Salt instead. Teleportation is awesome. Nevermind that you'll never be able to return.
