My sphynxstones went to the other place, and I was very happy with the reward I got for it.
Regardless, I find this thing about a luck roll disgusting. Even if there is a luck roll I should be given an idea of how much risk is involved- the same way with 90% of the rolls in game. If it was a big red "tough challange" sort of thing I would have discouraged her from doing it and maybe returned later to see if I can change the variable. And yes, that includes the scenario of me dropping the stuff to the other place
tl;dr: If a member of my crew needs to die because random value=DEATH, than at least give me a clue why and how much of a chance she had.
The problem here is that it's not you doing the "rolling". This is her gig, and her risks. You just have to hope she succeeds (or else stop her from doing it in the first place). Same with the Magician's quest.
Out of curiosity, which tattoo did you get?
