Maybe's daughter gone? *SPOILERS*
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥? Why did she have to die in the Bazaar? This makes no sense at all. I just can't stand it when somebody on my team in a game needs to die simply because of an RNG roll. At least display a luck 50-50 roll or something before I make the choice. I really love this game, but this (and the kaganian suspicion mechanic and it's removal) is a bunch of crap.

Yeah, right, kill her because this is a badass game where people can die simply because we said so and you have no control over it. Fantastic.

Did you try to dissuade her from going?

I'm almost certain the luck roll depends highly on what you did with your final sphinxstone run. At any rate, while I like the character, her story basically ends there regardless, and she's not the best Engineer. All you're missing out on are some random trysts at zee.

It does, and I'm pretty sure the game tells you whether she has a good chance of it or not.

It tells you she "might" not return, but that is very vague. Does he have 5% chance? 30%? 50%?
My sphynxstones went to the other place, and I was very happy with the reward I got for it.

Regardless, I find this thing about a luck roll disgusting. Even if there is a luck roll I should be given an idea of how much risk is involved- the same way with 90% of the rolls in game. If it was a big red "tough challange" sort of thing I would have discouraged her from doing it and maybe returned later to see if I can change the variable. And yes, that includes the scenario of me dropping the stuff to the other place

tl;dr: If a member of my crew needs to die because random value=DEATH, than at least give me a clue why and how much of a chance she had.

Dont "luck rolls" always mean a 50/50 chance?
The ones that are labeled "Luck challenge" or some such list their %chance of success on hover, similarly to actual stat challenges. However, some luck-based events are not labeled or even announced at all (e.g., the chance of getting Strategic Information in addition to a Port Report at a certain port).

No. This isn't really a luck roll either.

The problem here is that it's not you doing the "rolling". This is her gig, and her risks. You just have to hope she succeeds (or else stop her from doing it in the first place). Same with the Magician's quest.

Out of curiosity, which tattoo did you get?
