I'm assuming you gave the Monkeys a destination. Did you not notice that the only thing keeping them from leaving immediately was that they hadn't decided where to go yet? Pretty sure this was stated multiple times.
And the wiki is great, it just avoids spoiling the ends of major plotlines. (Admittedly I'm not 100% certain this is intentional, but it might be.)
Maybe they should just black out the spoilery parts of the articles so you have to highlight to read the detailed instructions if people are so worried about spoilers. Frankly I'm a little annoyed with how vague the wiki is, I only read it because I figured it was the best way I could find a large repository of information about the lore of the game. Boy was I wrong there. Still an interesting and enlightening read, just vague and frustratingly low on details.
edit: Well, here for Sunless Sea[saint-beau.tumblr.com], but the two games have shared lore (with an inconsistency here and there, e.g. regarding red honey).
I disagree it was "obvious" like the extremely rude Wlerin insists.
That + his belligerence may have caused me to overreact... but I still think the result of those choices should be obvious if you are following the story, and doesn't need any extra text. If anything the extra text beforehand makes people mentally lazy.
As for game indications: If you check the Zeppelin right after you finish it, there's an option for you to ask someone (a guard?) why they didn't leave already, and he explains because they don't know where to go. All they need is a direction.
Now you go to their court. The option to steal is there, clearly indicated that it will end the game. And there's also other options for you to suggest them a direction. You suggest, they follow it and leave. As far as indications goes, what else do you want?
