1) The amount of work involved is HUGE. Imagine you write a 300 pages book in spanish. You work on it for years, you put your heart and soul in it. Then imagine I ask you to translate it in french because I don't want to read it in spanish. Do the whole work again in a language that isn't yours. Then do that again in english, german, portuguese, italian, russian, korean... What would you say ?
2) The words of the game are carefully chosen. It's not only about what they say, it's about how they say it. There is a lot of poetry involved here, and translating poetry is very tricky. If there is a play on words/expression/word that sounds good in a language, there may not be an equivalent in another language, or it may sound ugly.
Honestly, I think you'd be much better off playing the original, english version of the game, even if there are bits here and there you don't understand. A cheap translation would take months to make and would ruin your experience anyway.
1)This people is very professional, they translated lot of games with lot of content, you can check at the website.Problem for people is not they dont want read in english, problem is that they not understand english.Company no have to do anything, all the work will be done by professional translaters and they will do for free, they only need a tool for translate the game.
2)This is no problem, the translaters are professionals with high level in enlish language, they not use google translator for translate the game, all the games they translated keeps the spirit of the original writter.
Lot of company add their translations to their games, you can check in their website, free translations no means bad quality translations.
They are used to translate big games, but if company no gives them the tools, they cant do nothing,i thing is a big mistake, because lot of people in spain like the game, but dont buy because don understand english.
I didnt buy it for this reason too, with my english i can understand some text, but this game,as you said uses complex language and requieres a high level of english that i dont have, and is not funny play a game if have to spend more time checking in dictionary than playing the game
Don't see that,thanks.
(Lo mismo hare con el Sunless, etc)
Una pena sea como sea.
