Probably the kickstarter backer one, Cladery heart or whatever it was. Aside from that, i bet the most expensive one.

The Cladery Heart hasn't been implemented yet, as far as I'm aware! All of the ships have their merits - the smaller ones are faster, more fuel-efficient, and are stealthier, while the larger ones have stronger hulls, more hold space, and more crew quarters. If you're going to be trading in bulk or taking enemies head-on, then you'll want an Armed Merchant Cruiser, a Frigate or a Dreadnaught. If you're planning on avoiding combat and focussing on exploration or espionage, then the default steamer, the Cutter or the Corvette are better bets - the Cutter is faster and stealthier, but the Corvette is a little tougher.

Cheers guys, I think I'll grab the corvette :)

I figured it hadnt yet, just figure a ship that costs real money will tend to be better than the ones in the base game. Im still not sure how to make enough money to even upgrade anything, most ive made is 200 before dying, seems like every trade route eats up all its profit in fuel and food every time.

Nah I don't trde. Found the best spot. Just left of the Iron and misery mushroom island thingy there's a light buoy next to a rock.
Park there and switch off the engine and headlight. If yur close to the rock the headlight wont need to be on and you can just sit there only consuming supplies. Pirate ships keep spawning there so keep fighting and taking the supplies. Eventually you will have aquired a lot of expensive loot (Spider Silk and the other stuff), travel back to london and there you go :) Or you can capture them and send the ships back, just keep replenishing yur crew at the misery and iron place. Earnt round 1000 echo's in an hour :P

Trading what? Taking tomb-colonists to venderbight+as much mushroom wine as you can carry will only get you around 75 gross profit. I just go where the admiralty tells me, usually some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up and far-off place that will instill the terror of the zee in me, like the heart of khan or polythreme. I just compile port reports along the way and I've been able to purchase an elegant townhouse and a will - no new boat yet though.

Exactly that, mushroom wine and tomb guys. Every time i ask the admiralty for missions they send me to the completely other side of the map to check out a volcano, a pirate city and stuff like that, about 50/50 i get killed because the enemies move faster than i can.

Edit: I had no idea you could read the actual non censored swearing while editing or quoting people, thats kinda funny.

how do you turn off the engine completely? usually when you switch to 0 it still consumes fuel which sucks...

The starter ship or the cargo ship would be my guesses.

Don't forget to sell the News in Venderbight (+10 Echoes) and bring back an intelligence report for the Admiralty (+10 Echoes).

Round trip on all islands collecting port reports, while killing sharks, pirates around gaiders mourn (for supplies and loot), turning in trohies at Godfall, and back to London has been known to makes me at least 500 echoes a run, 1000 if lucky and find soul of judgement.
This is AFTER resupplying fuel and and supplies.

How on earth do you beat those things? I die horribly in one hit to like half the stuff out there.

I one hit them 1st. Harpoons and 116 iron ussually equals a dead bound shark or entire pirate crew.
I just wish I had a place to unload my tales of terror, have a surplus of those since the only spot I found to trade them is whisper, and it won;t let me trade em for stygian ivory. When we can get ivory with them, I'm set to make a killing tradewise.

57 Mirrors, 66 Iron, starter ship.

Flare shoot flare shoot shoot (sometimes the first flare makes it to 50). Sharks hit me on occassion, but generally die first. If I had higher iron and mirrors I could shave time off this.
