So I just go South, right?
If you aren't aware, the map is semi-random. There are things that are all within the same region, but within that things can get mixed around. If you want to see the full map for one generation, divided up into regions, go here:

I do wish the characters had some intelligence to tell you something more useful than "east", though. If only they could say "northeast", for instance. I think it's because the character interaction engine is a completely separate part from the map engine.
Of course, there are other stupid things like it claiming Mt. Palmerston is "to the east". Yes, in the most unhelpful sense, it is. More accurately, it's far to the north. I mean, if you think about it, almost everything in the game is "to the east of London."
If you find Godfall, Polythreme is usually right next to it. Both tend to be near Khan's Heart, which actually is more or less east from London.
Random indeed (though I took my first Captain's map, because (unprepared as I am) I can't face true random yet)
But yeah finding Polythreme was hell on my first try. Bruiser kicked my butt when I got back to shore without finding it lol

Hey, I'll have you know my London is GLORIOUS.
