Good luck grinding all those offerings without access to Wolfstack Exchange, though. Not impossible, but troublesome.
That said, you may or may not really suffer without ability to pass lodgings and second one-time legacy. If you wish to invest in your future captains, focus on one stat and get legacy tomes relevant to different stats. Tome of miracles, A dream of red and any third of your choice could be a good idea for a single playthrough.
Granted, that is if you wish to spoil yourself with reading strategies and guides :P
P.S. My question from previous post still stands.
I think you are, but only if you don't have a sweetheart and/or child in London. Need to test it, though, so I'm not 100% sure.
I know for a fact that if you get Salt's Curse and don't have children/sweethearts and die without having one, you get to keep you scion legacy. I tested this personally with my latest captain.
Er, no. Your Child and your Scion are completely separate. Losing your Sweetheart and Child (such as through an affair) has no effect on your Scion, though it can prevent you from creating one by removing your Child prematurely.
Yes... I use this..... once your kid heads out to zee.... feel free to diddle to your heart's content.... your lover will likely leave you, but who cares? Their job is done!
The zee is a cruel beastie
Things progressed much faster with the sweetheart in London, hah!
