When does music play?

Hello all,

I have just started playing this game and have a question about how the music works. So far, I have not ventured very far from London. The only music I have heard in-game is when I first load the game at London. Once the initial theme finishes (it doesn't last long) and I set sail, there are sound effects, but no music, even when I land at the nearest ports. Is this the way it is supposed to be, or am I experiencing a problem with the music?

For example, I don't hear any music when I return to London, nor when I visit the nearest ports.

The reason I ask is because I have heard that the soundtrack in the game is great, and I wouldn't want to miss it!

I know there are certain places further out like the Khanate and Chelonate where very specific tunes will start up.

Really wish there would be continuous music, or at least more frequent.

If I remember correctly, it should trigger when you approach a Port. There are supposed to be stretches of silence though, with just you, the waves, and the darkness. And the things lurking in the darkness.

I think there are also some bugs with the music triggers, so that might be making it worse.

So is my experience normal so far? I have yet to hear music trigger upon reaching a port, though admittedly I have only reached the nearest ports.

Venture a little further. It may only trigger the London-area port music when you leave that area and return.

Music should trigger every time you enter an region that is written in your logbook, such as the sepia-color description when you approach Venderblight. IF you've gone as far as the Iron Republic (south) or Wither (north) without new music, there maybe something wrong.

But I'd recommend waiting until you hear them in game, the experience is worth it
