Does the New Sequence end your game?

I'm trying to get the Horizon Codex , but I didn't have enough Hearts to get it the easy way. I want to try to get it via the New Sequence, but before I do that, I want to know if it will end your game like the easy way does.

It won't end your game. You will lose access to an extremely helpful character, though, so I wouldn't do it too early either.

Last I checked it was technically possible to gain temporary access to that character again, but it's probably not worth the trouble.

I'm close to nearing the end of my zee-captain, so losing access to that character is of little consequence at this point.
