Saw the game came out on PS4 So does PC have gamepad support?
Does this mean PC has gamepad support now?

No, but according to the Failbetter blog[www.failbettergames.com] it does work with Steam controllers.

There's an explanation at the link why there is no official controller support for PC.

Hi, is it possible to copy this for the Epic Games version of the game in a config file or in another way?

I am going to hazard a guess is it relies on a Steam back end process, so No.
