So I hire this Carnelian exile, two options two dine with her. One in which I offer her a searing enigma in order to get her to remove her glasses, and one which I don't.

Being I'm not disgustingly rich, I opt for the latter. She removes them anyways, I lose my searing enigma anyways. WTF

You don't just read "not to ask to remove ger glasses" and think it won't cost anything, that's what the right bottom corner is for. If it had a searing enigma in both requirements, although some actions don't spend what they say, you shouldn't have done it if you didn't want to spsend it.

The second made no mention of offering her any information, as the first did in exchange for getting her to remove her glasses. What the hell did she do for the enigma then? Sit down to a dinner? Share a pathetic amount of secrets and information in exchange?

The wording is still trolling by Failbetter. First option clearly says you'll need to tempt her with the juiciest information i.e the searing enigma, to get her to remove her glasses.

Both options had a clear marking that they required a searing enigma to accept. Either you didn't bother to read them, or you did read them and ignored them. Either way is hardly FBG 'trolling you'.

This is like watching someone walk up to a vending machine with clearly labeled prices, stick their credit card in, order a drink, recieve that drink, and then go complain online that the machine tricked them out of their money.
