But yes, it wouldn't be very hard to slightly increase the cap for picking to be a poet so you can have all the pages legacies and still be able to get a boost from picking to be a poet.
I hadn't even thought of that, but that pretty much utterly sucks. It ruins an entire line, too. Great reward for buying the expansion. At least if true.
I had thought that if you had 50, not more than 50, you got no bonus... just assumed that once you had all the items that you didn't get anything from the pasts other than the companion and questlines. Wiki says <= 50, and your shot seems to confirm it. I'm not entirely why they put a limit on it anyway...
The ferret also causes this for hearts.
This combines to make the Correspondent Legacy absolute garbage.
Seems like a pretty silly restriction...
Is there a difference between the "natural" value of the stat and the value as modified that is actually used for checks? I thought you only inherited half of the unmodified value of the stat with a particular legacy, but even that can take you out of being able to also get a bonus for it with a legacy item.
I know when you're increasing stats with one of the Officer dialogues, though, where they can only increase it if it's below 100 or whatever, you can unequip something or unassign an officer to take you below that and increase it by the Officer dialogue.
