Free pen and paper RPG in our universe
We've just released an RPG in our universe which you can download for free here: https://www.tabletopgaming.co.uk/board-games/news/gothic-pc-adventure-sunless-skies-expands-with-pen-and-paper-rpg

It's centred on SUNLESS SKIES, but you can equally easily run it as a SUNLESS SEA system.

We hope you enjoy it!

Unfortunately, it cannot be played solo and since it has been many, many years since I had friends closeby that I could play tabletop games with, I have to decline ;)

Excellent! Pshaw, grapplehoeker, I've been playing RPGs solos since before I could read them. Knowing some of Howitt's other works; I could say Skyfarer is the kinda game you could print out, roll up and stick in a back pocket with a d10 to take to a cafe and play. That is, should you sit down at the right table of Ingenious Strangers or Delicious Friends. In lack or lieu of die; one could always craft a pair of egytian dice, ala senet, from some half coffee stirs and pen ink. Two should suffice to sort the foibles of required RNG. "Captain overboard!!!" "Shall we draw lots to see who's next..." "No need." "Looks like you're the gnu.." ", ...Cap't?"

Heh... I've been around the block a long time too ;)
I and my friends used to roleplay regularly and I recall with some fondness our weekly evenings in the back of an old church... it added so much to the atmosphere! TBH though it was that camaraderie and social activity which we enjoyed just as much as the game itself and solo just doesn't have the same appeal.
I also recall playing various types of play by mail (note, not email), remember those? I kinda grew out of those long, long ago... well before our modern day computer games became a thing.
So... my old friends are many leagues away from where I live now and there is nobody I know of around here that would share any interest. If there are, I sincerely doubt I could discover them at a local cafe. Still, I wish you many hours of enjoyment with this. It just isn't for me I'm afraid.
