The Constant Companion
so is there a limit to how often this things spawns in? ive been roaming around underwater at 75 terror hoping to farm it for treasures and judgement eggs, only returning to london when i hit 95 terror to reset, yet it hasnt spawned again. can you only kill it 3 times?

It keeps coming back. You've just had bad luck.

Messing around above 90 terror is extremely dodgy. I'd stick around at 75 and lower it by various means when it gets much over that. The 100 terror event is an easy instadeath.

i generally stick around fallen london waiting for the Companion to spawn. but even if i get caught out at zee, my iron level is high enough that i always have %100 chance at the 100 terror. granted my ship requires 20 crew to move at full speed and killing %50 of them generally gives me less as i never have a full 40 crew....

I was doing some business unter unterzee in hopes to face with constant companion today. Well I wasn't prepared to face two (2) of them at the same time! They spawned near Wrack and roughly 10 seconds apart from each other. Barely managed to escape to the surface with ~40 hull left. Next time shall be different, it's not keeping me company. I'm keeping company to it (them?)!

There's a mildly glitchable feature to how spawns happen. Especially if you're doing the thing where you back up while facing a beast and then go forward to get back in range, it can sometimes trigger the spawn repeatedly. You can use this on purpose in some maps to farm particular kinds of beast over and over.

Lifebergs are one of the best for this purpose.

I really wouldn't recommend doing this on purpose with CC though.

This works for Blue Crabs also, as well as in some less common cases, bosses like even Mt. Nomad.

Constant Companion is ridiculously dangerous, though. Don't just spawn a bunch of them on purpose unless you like sinking or really do have maxed stats on everything to the point you can machine gun them (that has been nerfed in recent versions so you really need max Mirrors to get anywhere near it).
