Messing around above 90 terror is extremely dodgy. I'd stick around at 75 and lower it by various means when it gets much over that. The 100 terror event is an easy instadeath.
There's a mildly glitchable feature to how spawns happen. Especially if you're doing the thing where you back up while facing a beast and then go forward to get back in range, it can sometimes trigger the spawn repeatedly. You can use this on purpose in some maps to farm particular kinds of beast over and over.
Lifebergs are one of the best for this purpose.
I really wouldn't recommend doing this on purpose with CC though.

This works for Blue Crabs also, as well as in some less common cases, bosses like even Mt. Nomad.
Constant Companion is ridiculously dangerous, though. Don't just spawn a bunch of them on purpose unless you like sinking or really do have maxed stats on everything to the point you can machine gun them (that has been nerfed in recent versions so you really need max Mirrors to get anywhere near it).
