The High Wilderness

So having watched the annoucement video of Sunless Skies, there was mention of it being possible to get there in Sunless Sea as a hidden victory condition.

How plausible is it that the airship victory condition in the Empire of Hands takes your captain to the High Wilderness? And how would it be possible for an underground cavern to connect to an outer-space like area, especially given the presence of Judgements in Sunless Skies affecting the natural laws of these areas of 'space'?

Of course it can't be real space, as it was described in the same video as being as much as space as the Unterzee is the sea, where there's water, but the mountains try to eat you.

I think they were referring to the Avid Horizon and the Merchant Venturer?
