Unaccountably Peckish (Cannibal Trait)
I'm relatively new to the game and am both overwhelmed and amazed by the depths S.S. takes you.

I've done some poking around the wiki and YT, etc, and have in-game come across the Cannibal Trait "Menace".

How does having this trait effect later gameplay? I mean in negative, game-ending ways, if at all?

I dont want to be the kind of player that has to go to the wiki every time I click on some storyline, but also dont want all the hard work and time I put into the game to dissapear due to poor choices, especially storylines that sound rather ambiguous.

Just trying to find a happy medium between being totally clueless and being tied imbilically to the wiki.

Thanks zee fans!

No problem with having it.

As far as I ran remember, the only menaces that effect gameplay are Suspicion and Yearning Burning. The second one can kill you if you're not careful.

the game dont punish you for begin evil.
do you want to sell Strangely red honey to people? Do it!
want to sell intel to factions other than london? Do it! <this one will have complications,If you do it more than once.
want to eat your crew or taste something more ''robust'' offered by a suspicious seller? Do it!
Sell your soul for echos or benefits? guess what.
there a tons horrendous evil things you can practice in-game but just a few will have consequences.
So,no problem in bite the arm of your trustful sailor once in while...don't worry they are delicious...

Derp, forgot about those. For some reason I don't think of those as a Menace, more of an annoyance. :fhappy:

If yo're new who cares? Your current captain will die. So go crazy, try some stuff out.

It can even be beneficial. It gives you additional options for eating crew when you need to :D

It doesn't cause any harm at all that I've ever seen.

It just opens a number of gastronomical options. If anything, it's a benefit. I usually go cannibal at the first opportunity.

Ok guys I got it. Thanks for the warning about the Suspicion and Yearning Burning and Wounds.
So, no big deal as a gamebreaker, good. Time to break out the Chianti ;-)

Someone should mod in a risk of taking wounds at the chapel with higher levels of Peckish >_>

It actually opens some doors that would otherwise be closed to you. I forget where but I remember the first time I noticed that cannibal taint HELPED me was a ... maybe a random encounter where you go to Mutton island or some other island close to london and find they are celebrating some holidy with ritual cannibalism. And instead of the townfolk turning on you, or running you off, you sit at the table and ask for some of the lesser known choice cuts of the 'meat'. Then you leave and the london navy shows up and blockades the island for the rest of the game.
And on one of the Empire of Hands islands you can make friends with the cannibal pirates. Which can be useful if you're out there and low on good supplies
