Nothing on my PC changed.
Now clicking on any button past the new game or continue results in a fatal error sending me to a page where I have to alt-f4 as it becomes completely unresponsive. Reinstalling the game does not fix the issue.
Crash your game and then include the output_log.txt to the report.
The output_log.txt can be found in the SunlessSea\Sunless Sea_Data folder.
The problem is fixed now.
If anyone else has this issue, send a report off, support is very quick to answer. If you want a possible quicker alternative, the solution they posted to me, go to:
C:\Users\username\AppData\LocalLow\Failbetter Games\Sunless Sea\saves
and delete autosave.json and rename the autosave backup to autosave.json (copy the folder before to be safe)
Playing the Steam version of the game will mean that Steam will download the old glitched savefile again, so you'll have to click 'load game' in the Sunless Sea main menu and delete the backup from there before playing.
