Joule and her weapon
Am I the only one who hates her weapon? Not only the damage but the use since I hate the fact that the weapon only fires when you are perfectly targeting somebody. I understand that its the whole mechanic but I just doesn't feel satisfying. I do like her turret though

You should play Joule as a support, while the main is the turrets. =)

I started leveling her yesterday and yeah, she's... quite different. Just like Sheherazade, it takes getting used to, I expect.
I don't use her much while roaming, as her turret prevents the sort of aerial acrobatics I enjoy doing (run and gun battles across rooftops). But I think she might be a bit more useful in lairs, if you put the turret at the right spot and just pump that baby full of shield and HP.
Think TF2 Engineer!

Shame the turret vanishes if you switch character, though!

Basically this. The gun isn't really her main weapon. the turret is. Use the gun to add vulnerabily and heal the turret. She's really about holding points when the enemy is coming to you. Anyone gets too close...hit them with the wrench.
Another good thing about her is a Legion upgrade that make her gain Mayhem as picking up the materials. That means, she will be spamming the second turret quite often.

Sincerelly, I kill more enemies with less effort with her, than many other agents.

She takes a while to get used to. Like everyone said, she's not the damage dealer. Her turret is.

You can also re-deploy your turret at anytime and place them at the most appropriate spot.

I developed her turret to have higher fire rate and faster deployment recharge. I also help smacking the enemies from behind. She has a quick horizontal swing, which is nice.

Just get the turret out and let it do the damage while you heal it. Or you can also help it a bit, shoot enemies if you're close enough or just hit them with a melee attack.

When the turret is getting destroyed in mere seconds after being deployed on the higher difficulties that's not possible. Joule doesn't seem to be a viable agent for high difficulties.

No agent works nicelly on high difficulties. But I was still doing better with her than others at level 12.
Is how you build it. For example, you can use that special gadget that make the turret invulnerable as taunt the enemies. Repair after the 2nd or 3rd use of the special, and use the mayhem turret for repairs and knockback the enemies, giving time to fix your main turret. And as I mentioned, there is another gadget that help to get mayhem more often.

Just don't expect fast kills with Joule. She is more about safe horde mode.

That 'Favorite Pastime' legion tech that lets her get mayhem for resources is so good. Just got that last night. Makes her Mayhem power feel more like a special. Turns her bonus R&D upgrade into a combat bonus.

I also like the 'twinsie' tech that makes her turret prioritize whatever she's shooting at. Greatly increases her speed at taking down enemies. And I always run her turret in tank mode. Gives her plenty of freedom to run around and collect resources from downed enemies mid fight for more mayhem.

If you like using Gremlin Tech...Using her turret as a lure for the enemies as they swarm in on it and then blast them all to kingdom come with a Moon Beam/Seoul Defense Missiles. Super fun! :D

Wow.... rarely read such nonsense, please do not spread false information like that unless you actually know what you're talking about.

Many Agents are not only high difficulty viable, but can, in fact, solo carry. You can easily do diff 15 with just a single Agent if you're not braindead.
