Game stuck on 96% WHY WONT IT DOWNLOAD?

Im legit getting 100 Dl speed but this game won't even go past 96%... I already pre loaded this game.....

Because the game sucks. Ive been trying to download it all day. Fanboys are trying to say its steam, but Ive downloaded GTAV, total war warhammer and even saints row IV with no problems whatsoever in a minimal amount of time. And yes, I preloaded also. And so far Ive tried reinstalling steam twice after deleting every single folder I could find and it still launches steam and starts trying to download at that same point but doesnt actually do anything but run my disk and cpu

This worked for me with the same problem (stuck at 96%):

1. Click on "Steam" -> "Settings" -> "Downloads" -> "Clear Download Cache"
2. While Steam is shut down, navigate to Steam Install Directory -> SteamApps -> depotcache
3. Delete the two highest numbered files (for me 24 and 25)
4. Restart Steam, login and the download should work, although you'll lose about a gigabyte of your previously downloaded data.

Doesnt work anyways, Ive tried it about 6 times. Better off getting a refund because every non user "I bought a game so I can never admit I screwed up" review is negative. all the proffessional reviews are uber negative. Thats why a company whos last 5 games have been genre defining successes didnt want anything on this game getting out, even though its basically the exact same formula crossed with overwatches massive successful formula. Why is it that all we ahve seen are bullshots and prerendered videos? because the game is garbage AND THEY KNEW IT

Wait im confused can u add me on steam. Im on my depotcache but its filled with a bunch of numbers....

Wait im confused can u add me on steam. Im on my depotcache but its filled with a bunch of numbers....

just delete it all, its all "backup" info for starting and stopping downloads

Because it's doing some weird unpacking ♥♥♥♥. Like it's unpacking before it reaches 100%. Check to see if you have hard drave usage. The green line on the graph in your downloads window on Steam. It should fluctuate. If you leave it for a while it will eventually finish it just takes a while. It's stupid.

Mine dropped to nothing, I left it for 4 hours and took a nap, came back and it was doing nothing. Couldnt close steam because it couldnt "stop the doenload" but it still sat there doing nothing, burning up my hard drive for 4 hours, not getting a single kb more of data

Also, my hard drive is going up and down as well..

try pausing the DL and then unpausing, sometimes in the past that has worked for stuck preloads. Didnt work for me, but all computers are different
