"Are CPUs without SSE 4.1/4.2 supported?
http://steamcommunity.com/app/304530/discussions/0/1470841715981151940/
STATUS: RESOLVED
AM2/AM3 socket CPUs like the AMD Phenom class (and lower) do not have SSE 4.1/4.2 support and are below minimum requirements. They will not be able run the game."
Looks like we're SOL. I've requested a refund. First one ever for me, kind of sad.
Top tier dev can't patch in support that Hello Games was able to do for NMS in a few hours. What a shame. Volition done broke my heart.
@Jestre: Thanks for the update. At least I'll get to play it once I finish upgrading my CPU.
Destiny 2 PC Beta Minimum System Requirements
CPU: Intel i3-3250, AMD FX-4350, or equivalent
GPU: GeForce GTX 660 / GeForce GTX 1050
RAM: 6GB
So i take it from that AM2 Phenom II owners won't be playing Destiny 2 either. Just a heads up.
Enjoy the game!
Thank you!
The Phenom 2 class came out in 2010, that's less old, but it's still going on 7 years old at this point. There's no reason why anyone should have these chips if they're planning on playing the newest games. I'm not trying to sound elitist, but there have been so many advances in processor operations and logic that it's simply insane to expect them to work forever.
If that's the case, I'm guessing my 2014 Core i7 4790k still has some decent life left in it. lol
Furious... this should have been stated in the system requirments....it is definetly not....
