Too heavily inspired by Overwatch?

"Agents" in name - everyone's an agent in Overwatch.

Same fonts used pretty much, like honestly, there are thousands of professinal fonts out there - consciously picking the same one as OW says something.

Nearly a copy-calque exact Menus and UI, the queue or hero selection screen is also almost the same. While you're in game, the UI is also extremely reminiscent of Overwatch.

Honestly, the only thing different and actually unique that stands out watching the trailers is the open world theme, the cars and driving (very much Saint Row-ish, so nothing bad here, and car handling is good, too) and the TPP view instead of the FPP one (nothing new for Saint Row).

So I'm just here thinking... was it really NECESSARY to make the whole 'frame' of the game so Overwatch-esque? I can feel the uniqueness of the game, the Saints Row humor is there as well, and that's a big plus, but everything is wrapped in the 'overwatch design' package in terms of UI, fonts, menus and all that. The UI is something that's with you at all times and it will constantly remind you of Overwatch. Couldn't you guys have gone for something more original, like honestly? I'm not saying the UI does not fit, because it actually does fit the futuristic reality of the game, but still...

One of the first characters immediatelly reminds you of Tracer, just because she's a chick and wields dual pistols - even if you don't want to, it's just one of the first things that comes to mind.

And the black guy wielding an Uzi has a mayhem ability that drops a frigging boombox on the ground; now here, no matter how hard I wouldn't try, this is clearly "inspired" by Lucio.

I also do realize Saints franchise makes a mockery of several games, however this is not a direct sequel to the Saints Row series, so will the fact that the same guys developed this game be enough to be 'forgiven' by players for making such blatant rip offs from OW?

Are people still claiming Overwatch has inspired every game since it's launch?

I didn't even read the post other than the title and the first paragraph because I know exactly what he's going to winge about.

Overwatch is overrated. Get over it.
