Crackdown 3 is vaporware at this point.
/agree
Damn, right!
Only reason I wanted Crackdown is that I want to jump and climb up buildings.
Now, you can do that in Saints Row IV; just wanted to play more of this verticality and platforming in other open world PC games.
They already did an amazing Hulk:Ultimate Destruction / Prototype tribute with Saint's Row 4 so I have faith they can convert the mechanics from Crackdown into something fun on PC.
Only thing In doubt we'll get are morphing vehicles and player characters looking more visibly buff and able to throw cars and dumpsters.
That really isn't inevitable. And even if they did, it would almost definitely be through the Windows store, and I don't want to deal with that.
Hard to say considering this one isn't out yet. It looks pretty fun to me.
Another GFWL 2.0 exclusive riddled with various technical issues and piss poor compression like everything else that they have released on that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ platform of theirs?
Oh, gee! I can't wait!
There's a reason why Quantum Break made it onto Steam. That store of theirs is a death sentence for PC titles.
Those are all quite a bit different from Crackdown (honestly, all 3 of those games are quite a bit different from each other). The only thing it has in common with these games is that they're open world 3rd-person shooters. Saying that they're all basically exactly the same because they fit into the same broad category is absurd.
There's so much more to a game than just what category it fits in to. Theme, art style, story, the sound design, the intricacies of the game mechanics, and many other things are all very important parts of what makes a game. To simply ignore all of those things, lump a bunch of games into a category because they have similar styles of gameplay and then say that all those games are the same is just ignorant.
If you don't see anything different between this game and other "open world action adventure" games, then what convinced you to buy it Day 1?
Excited for both games actually...will definitely get both.
