A dark adventure game which can be described as a dystopian run for survival. Extremely simple controls and very straightforward gameplay. Good choice for non-gamers. 7.2/10, I’d highly recommend it.

I’ll keep this review spoiler-free. It’d be me telling how I felt about this game, not what this game is about.

You start the game with zero explanation, you won’t know where you are, where you came from, or where you’re supposed to headed for. Even after all of that, everything is linear, and everything gradually starts to make sense. The portrayal of the base story is really well done.

I wouldn’t say there are any side quest, however, without spoiling anything, there is something worth playing for the second time. People call it a secret ending. It was, to me, very impactful.

You play as a boy, you run away from soldiers, avoid machines, hide from aristocrats, and find solance in human dolls. There is one more character which people call many things, including “a siren”. All of these characters have virtually no background or explanation, yet, you know exactly what to look forward to.

Background music isn’t very memorable, however, it suits the atmosphere. Sound effects on the other hand is surprisingly high quality. I’d even call it immersive. There are scary sounds, there are calm sounds, there are sounds that makes your heart heavy, and then there is a sound that elevates you from worldly torments. It’s beautiful.

There is no voice acting in this game.

Visually, it’s closer to scary than pretty. Human don’t look very human, yet it feels very human. Machineries, puzzles, wires, sparks, background structures, and environment visuals are all very fitting.

Game controls are extremely basic, in a good way. Combat is about avoiding danger. Puzzles aren’t too difficult. There are areas that are right in front of you, and there are areas that are slightly off path, makes you want to explore. Majority of the game feels like you’re a scared little boy, and some part of it makes you feel like there is something you CAN do. My favourite part of gameplay experience is underwater exploration. It sounds better than it looks.

The dystopian world made by devs captures the essence of the story. It fits perfectly to the theme, whether its buildings, streets, a warehouse or factory, it fits right. Level designing is highly intuitive. If you’re an average gamer, you’d never get stuck wondering what are you supposed to do. Even a beginner gamer or someone who’s playing a game for the first time, would roughly know what to do, without reading or listening to a single word. Once you finish a level, you can go back to that level at any point of the game, while keeping all the progress intact. Feels like a time travel game design. Easter eggs were also nice.

Played it on a low end laptop with low graphics settings, it didn’t crash or freeze at any moment. Loading time on SSD is minimal, however, if you die too frequently, you’ll spend some time re-loading over and over again. On my end, the game was very smooth, seems very well optimized, and I faced absolutely no bugs or glitches (I tend to play naturally, for the sake of immersion).

If you are a completionist, you’d love to know that gathering achievements in this game is really simple. As I’ve mentioned in Level design section, you can visit any past level/stage at any point of the game, which makes it really simple for completing any missed achievement. There is absolutely no grinding. You can play the entire game naturally once, travel across the levels to complete achievements, and unlock a secret ending. There is no replayability to it.

A simple game with complex morals. Great game for newcomers. Not a very long story and it's easy to achieve 100%. I'd recommend it to the casual gamers.

Ok... I aint gonna lie. So far this so smoooth brutha. Clean stuff. But again...wtf is going on.... XD

Bigger master piece... sorry limbo. 10/10+ending got me.
