Unofficial mix of all INSIDE music: link in the discussion
A while ago I made a mix of the game's excellent soundtrack, which is composed and produced by Martin Stig Andersen. It was a bit problematic to not include sound effects but in some tracks they became a part of music (like in case of "March").

So yeah here is the link: https://youtu.be/UUsK-7q3j-I

Absolutely brilliant effort to have put this compilation together. Well done. With each passing minute I could see - in my head - each of the levels from which the tracks came. In many instances I wished that the tracks lasted that little bit longer, but overall, it was a pleasure to listen to - both soothing and relaxing. My only, only, one and only request would have been to have stopped and stood under the blinking fluorescent tube a little longer. Exiting the 'sonic boom' chamber, in the corridor that leads you to the elevator that plunges into the water, is a fluorescent tube that blinks in time with the music, and emits a high pitched 'ting' after it fades and flashes back on. I've stopped and stood there many times before continuing with the game. That, would be my only suggestion. Thank you again. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed.

I recently made a soundtrack out of the game's audio files. It's not pinpoint accurate to the in-game music, but it's better than having the constant sound effects.

Could you explain how you extracted the sound? I've had no luck getting anything substantial out of it.

You need to go into the games files:
Windows (C:) > Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > INSIDE > INSIDE_Data > StreamingAssets > Audio
There are a list of .wem files that contain the ambience tracks, but are in no particular order. What I did was copy them over to an external folder, then sorted them each into separate folders for each track. Then, through Audacity, compiled what you see. Some tracks will be left over, as I couldn't find which track they go with.
If you want to make your own tracks, be my guest.

Is there any special way to import the files into Audacity? A lot of them are coming out as mono or otherwise low quality. Or are they supposed to be that way?

Yeah, they are supposed to be that way. If you don't want them to be mono, just make two copies of the mono track and stitch them together with the Make Stereo Track tool.

I realize this is an old post, but do you have links to the audio tracks you compiled for your video?
