Crash on startup [SOLVED]
When i run the game it boots to a black screen where nothing happens, and if it crashes if i try interacting with it. any chance there's a way to fix it?
My system is on Windows 7, a GTX960 and i5
I've already contacted the developers but still no reply

Having similar problem here. Most of times I try to open the game, the aplication opens and stucks into a black screen. Have to force close. Then I restart the machine, log in, starts the game and it opens normally. If I close the game and try to start it the problem start over again. Lastest GPU drivers installed (v368.81 in the moment I wrote this).
Specs: Intel i7-4790K @ 4.40 GHz; 16 GB DDR3 Corsair @ 2400 MHz; nVidia GeForce GTX 980 Ti (Gigabyte OC version); SSD Samsung 850 Pro 1 TB; Windows 10 Pro x64.
the support team's advice was to try to reinstall graphics drivers and Visual C++. And if that didn't work to type -force-d3d9 in Steam launch options. None of those worked so I filed a bug report and on their website.
Aparently that's all that can be done since there don't seem to be any config files i can tinker with

Find out a solution to me:

I've just set to the executable admin rights (right click on INSIDE.exe > Properties > Compatibility Tab > check the box "Run This Program As An Administrator").
After done that I haven't no more black screens or crashes inside the game (my game was closing without a reason too).
That's all folk's, hope it solve your problems too. =)

That didn't do the trick for me.
But I realized I didn't have Service Pack 1 installed on Windows 7. Once installed, the game started up just fine. Thought I'd add that here, hope it helps someone else who reads this.

WTF? Windows 7 Service Pack 1 is like 5 years old.
