Inside - submarine is not boosting....

My submarine does not boost when I hit the "A" and down button. Does anyone have a solution. I will not be able to go any further until I solve this. Help please.

You should hold "A" button for a second or two, not just press it.

Thanks for your response and, yes, I've tried holding the "A" for a second or two, I've tried just holding it down and just tapping it. Nothing seems to work!!! Any other suggestions would greatly be appreciated. As you know I cannot continue the game until this is solved. Thanks again for your response.

"A" button on gamepad, Right Ctrl on keyboard. Which of them are you trying?

ok, I tried the right Ctrl and it worked. Thanks so very much - now I can move forward.
