I have played both and love both, but felt the challenges in Limbo were more difficult and it probably had something to do with the atmosphere and location. On the other-hand, Inside took us to a different world which was more realistic and much more grotesque in nature. I felt the challenges were not as difficult on Inside, but the story was much more compelling. Once I started, I could not stop playing as I wanted the game to tell me more about what was going on, even though there is no dialogue or script, the game gives you certain clues about what is going on and I loved it. Graphics were also a plus for Inside and each area was very polished and intriguing to look at. Limbo graphics was a bit of the same throughout if I remember correctly. I will say that gameplay for the two were very similar and both very fluid and polished as well. Overall, I will have to say Inside wins by a small or moderate margin because of the creepy and dynamic atmosphere and storyline. Just my opinion, and it's also important to note that Inside is a very new game in comparison so the developer has definitely learned from limbo and perfected their craft for this unique platformer genre, so generally speaking, they are going to make a better game hopefully the second time around building on the success of their first title, Limbo. Also, sorry about my writing here, it's difficult to write long paragraphs from a mobile phone...

Difficult choice, but I think I prefer Inside. Absolutely weird, creepy athmosphere, never frustrating, some memorable moments...
This game is art, it's something different. The plot is deliberately vague and our imagination is at work.
Limbo is fantastic, but it's more a classic platform/puzzle game.
Anyway, Playdead have my money whenever they'll release something, it's always special!

I'd say Inside. Limbo was good and all, but nowhere near the impact of submarine sequence for me.

Then again, ending of Inside was... lacking, to put it lightly.

I just finished Inside. While it's a great game, it's no where near as good as Limbo for me. I just prefered the artstyle and atmosphere in Limbo by a long shot. I've replayed Limbo 3 times. Don't think I'll ever replay Inside, but I still enjoyed it. I'll give Inside an 8/10 while Limbo is easily a 10/10 for me :P

For me Inside won, the story that makes you think and come up with theories, the more realistic and haunting world, while Limbo was very good, Inside was a litlle better in my opinion.

I definitely think that Inside is better. Limbo has its moments, but it never really feels like it has any substance overall, since the entire "mystery" is so obvious and there isn't much to the gameplay. The atmosphere is neat at first, but does eventually get old, since the black-and-white look makes everything look a bit too same-ey. Inside is far more varied, and the mystery is... well, it's a mystery. You're trying to piece together what's happening the entire game instead of knowing after playing for approximately 30 seconds.

I prefer inside as it feels to me like a much more balanced game when it comes to puzzle solving, way less guessing involved and more just straight logic with a more refined and intuitive game mechanic. I enjoyed Limbo but there were parts of it I just didn't enjoy and that felt like more of a chore than fun. The visuals and sounds of both games are stunning
