Mechanic Tips for This One Block Type [somewhat late-game spoilers]
I've reached the space-y area after basin 21, and I'm confused as hell about vector blocks. I managed to get through the room with the first one, but and hard-stuck on the second room. These still feel like they're sort of tutorialy-puzzles meant to be teaching me how the blocks work, so I feel like I'm just missing something. I've figured out that you can affect the direction of the vector by hitting the block at different speeds, and that you can pause the countdown timer before the vector goes off by either ducking going into ball form, but I can't see how to use either of those things to actually progress.

I'm not really looking for full solutions or anything, but I've been staring at this screen and trying stuff for like half an hour with no progress, so I'm wondering if anyone has any advice or tips? Am I missing anything mechanically?

Vector blocks seem to work by adding the vector to your current speed. so if you are falling with 50 speed and the vector goes off with 60 you you fill have an upwards speed of 10. as for the room you are having trouble with. As a hint 1 you don't need the first block in the room. 2 you need hit the same wall to gain height repeatedly 3 rail gunning is useful(swing the bat midair to gain speed.)

Thanks for the feedback! I got a bit further, though I'm still having a lot of trouble with this section (have gotten a few more lamps further, but still haven't made it to the next area). One thing I've found is that sliding after hitting vector blocks can unlock a lot of potential mobility options, since the vector stays charged mid-slide, so you can use that to quickly relocate, or slide-charge to add some input momentum to the vector.

But still it's tough! I gotta use my brain!
