Suggestions? Feedback? Let's hear it!
Hey everyone! its been amazing to see the reviews you've left, they REALLY help our visibility on the steam store, so thank you to everyone that has picked up the game in the past couple of weeks!

The game is at a stable point where we could probably just walk away and leave it as is now... but screw that. What else can we do? We have a few ideas in the works but we want to hear from you guys. What do you want to see in a future update?

More anomalies?
Hard Mode?
Time Attack modes?
More Achievements?
Full DLCs?
More Lore?

We want to hear from you to make the game even better! Sound off any ideas you have, we're looking forward to hearing from you.

You guys nailed it. I just love games like this and i am playing everything which is almost identical to this kind of genre. This game topped it all. It has a story, the graphic (especially light effects through windows and more) left me speechless while playing. Normally i cant play horror games at all but u guys made me play this game and i want more. I really hope you will make more stuff like this, or add more dlcs. All in all i just wanted to write something to compliment you. I have never expected a horror game could even fascinate me. You did it. Thank you so much!

i think more scary anomalies would be perfect.

more lore and maybe dlc's to expand onto the original story. ( but again to me the story is already great the way it is, and doesn't need more.)

i personally wouldn't want more achievements, just cuz its already tedious enough trying to get all of them already and i feel like if you keep adding more and more achievements its just going to become very bothersome.

An even harder mode? I'm completely stuck in Nightmare Mode already, I'm missing 6 nightmare anomalies and I can't seem to find them, even after many hours. I feel like I could probably rebuild the pub in detail at this point, but they just still evade me... :steamsalty:

I agree about the achievements - more would just make it more annoying for completionists like myself. I didn't get some of them because of the 2.0 build, but that seems to be fixed.

Time attack modes (if I understand them correctly) would really depend on luck, wouldn't they? Get some obvious anomalies and you're faster. I don't think they're a fit for the game either.
DLC, more lore, more anomalies... Sure, but the game already has a lot of content for this genre. I honestly don't think it needs more, although I recognize, as a consumer, that is a weird thing to say. I just think the effort would be better put into something new.

I would however welcome a toggle in the settings for: Chromatic aberration, screen dirt effects, lens flares and the bloody vignette. I feel like we should be able to turn them off, especially in a game where you're constantly looking for differences. The sudden shifts in lighting and decals on screen only serve to distract.

i agree with Kleiner more settings to toggle off those lightings would make it easier to spot stuff.

aside from that the game is already fantastic and just adding more will just become annoying. especially for the completionists , i was happy to see nightmode added but when i seen new achievements, i may have raged a bit cuz now my 100% perfect clear was ruined.

especially the reach bell 25. like i mentioned before i can barely get to 11. so ill probably never get the 25 which means ill never clear the game and that is really upsetting.

Some really good stuff here. We will definitely adjust the achievements if no one is able to get to 25 bells. It is easier to do in normal mode for sure as even us devs get caught up on Nightmare mode. We also want to adjust the really hard anomalies if it stops being fun and gets into annoying territory. Would a guide help or adjusting the anomalies themselves so they aren't so difficult?

Before the update i didnt use any guide i was able to find everythig so the games is ok for my opinion.
The nightmare mode i think i have problems, 3 or 4 times i got 10 bells but i cant pass at 11th part because i could not find any anomaly ( i also screenshot every parts of the room to check if i missed something) so when i pass the door or i go back .. i lose all bells anyway.
Another problems i still have is.. im kind in a sort of loop.. i start the game... i got first bell because no anomaly, second bell there was anomaly (the blood on the wall when you pass last door), the third part i lose all bells because there is no anomaly so i pass the last door or if i go back to the start i lose bells anyway. so i have to close thje game and reopen to have different anomaly, if i dont do this.. i keep fail after 2 bell..
Aesmatv Oct 8, 2024 @ 7:58am
but that's the issue right, the anomalies do not repeat for the most part, so the only way to get to 25 bells is to literally start from scratch with having no anomalies collected and get a perfect run, the minute u make 1 mistake , your almost locked out.

but also

not santa- no clue how to get

flying orbs - no clue how to get

the full context - no clue how to get ( especially after clearing everything)

Both of these achievements relate to interactions related to specific anomalies. Approach the anomaly when you see it to get the anomalous interaction and get the corresponding achievement.
Not Santa: Anomaly involving the fireplace.
Flying Orbs: Anomaly involving the pool table.

oooh thank you.

Nice creepy game, great atmosphere. Still trying to find all anomalies and achievements.

Would love the possibility to have an option to choose playing with arrow keys and Right Shift for running, instead WASD and Left Shift. Am i the only one? :steamhappy:

@HillfortGames = The Leaning Clock anomaly - sharing the same name as the lowering ceiling "Death From Above" - I think perhaps would be more suitably called; "A Time to Kill", "Killing Time", or even "Your Time's Up". ;)

After we finished the game on nightmare mode with all unlocked I need to say: not more anomalies, let them like they are... it is really fun to find them and to try to get through (at this time, our record in the family is 28 bells)

but a suggestion: you can make the lore bigger... it seems the gameplay is in the past (1880 or so? looking at the clothes, the posters, etc.) Maybe a second level because the pub is reopened today and the soul of the bartender won't resting in hell.
Would be cool to see the pub with some modern flair and a complete new set of anomalies, lore and jumpscares.

But don't kill the perfect flair of the game at the moment! if there where a pub like that (without murderers and bloodthirsty ghosts) in my local area, I would prefer to go there!

Fantastic game, guys. Normally I hate jumpscares but made an exception for this! Along with the guide on Steam (which I've helped complete) I managed 100% and the longest run possible (50+!)

Two things I would say should be changed: the second anomaly called "Death From Above" should be "Time's Up", "Out of Time" or similar.
Since the telephone is so prominent, add an anomaly called "Last Call" (because it's a pub) where it rings and maybe has a spooky message when observed. If it rings when the player is about the leave, it would really mess with their "clean run" high!

Otherwise, great job on the atmosphere, lore and mechanics.

Spotted two spelling errors in the secret ending area; Whitechapel is spelt with an extra P and one instance of Hughes is missing the second H. Also Malice is incorrectly spelt in the credits area.
