ipconfig /release
and then type this right after to get internet back:
ipconfig /renew
this resets the local ip address of your computer fixing the issue
Thank you for sharing it.
Great to hear that the IP renewal helped you resolve the Dolphin-028 error.
Hey there Nicoofs,
sorry to hear that the steps above did not help you resolve the issue.
I have a few more steps which you can try to see if this can help:
1. Close Ubisoft Connect completely from the Taskmanager and first, make sure that the launcher and the game are whitelisted within your Antivirus / Firewall, to avoid any conflicts when the client is trying to connect to the servers:
Add an exclusion to Windows Security
Select Start, then open Settings, under Privacy & security, select Virus & threat protection
Under Virus & threat protection settings, select Manage settings, and then under Exclusions, select Add or remove exclusions
Add exclusions for Ubisoft Connect.
2. Once that is done, please go to the installation location of the folder, which in default is under the following path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\
3. Delete the following Folders: "cache" "crash" "logs" and "shareplay". Additionally, when you scroll down, there should be a txt file named "version.txt" Delete that one as well.
•PLEASE NOTE: Make sure you keep note of your login details for Ubisoft Connect, as you get asked to log in again once deleting the cache.
4. Make sure Ubisoft Connect is still closed. Then type "Run" in the windows search bar in the bottom left corner, open it and type %programdata%. Once there, Delete the Ubisoft Folder.
5. Type %Appdata% (same way as mentioned in step 4) then > click local > and delete the Ubisoft folder there. Open the temp folder and delete everything in it (please make sure that if certain files cannot be deleted, leave them in there) and close the window
6. Type "Settings" in the search bar, then click on "System" > "Storage" and click on temporary files. And remove the files in there (if you do not wish to remove files such as download, make sure it's unticked)
7. Restart your PC and login and launch the game from Steam. It should open Ubisoft Connect and will look for patches, download and recreate the folders you removed from Step 3.
I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any further queries.
I am glad, GLAD this company is falling apart and I cannot wait the day they are unemployed and out of jobs. The only problem is they will worm their way into other companies and infect them with their idiocracy and cause harm. Ubisoft has never been a triple-A company.
My guess is it is this. Twitter seems to suggest the same.
As per Omni_X's comment it looks like the Ubi Connect service, itself is down. Twitter seems to suggest PC only.
