To find the key for the main game:
• Choose the Games tab.
• Select the game tile.
• On the left hand side under Play or Download, choose Show key.
You will now be shown the key to activate the main game.
no dice? I'd suggest you contact ubisoft, or try to refund the game via steam.
ubisoft shenanigans
If you get an authentication error then your game license is bound to a different Ubisoft account. If that happens it's likely there was an account already linked to that steam.
Only support would be able to assist any further than this.
I'd recommend refunding if he has less than 2hours on the game.
or try checking the steam forums... maybe someone else has had this issue before? https://steamcommunity.com/app/304390/discussions/1/3175603753259172983/
