xbox and ps4 left trigger not working when in missions on PC

so I was playing for a couple hours today when my x box controller left trigger stopped working in combat so I couldn't go into gourd mode to actually play the game at all and then I tried to play with the ps4 controller too and the same thing happened. Both controllers work fine outside of combat so in the menus and all the left trigger still works there and both controllers still work in any other game its just in game combat that the triggers do nothing at all if anyone knows how to fix it or if I can get some ideas it would b appreciated. mouse and key works totaly.


I also deleted and re-downloaded the game and still no fix and I also turned on and off my computer and also still the same problem happens, All the drivers are up to date and the game in on the latest version.


I also already verified the game files and i also went into the steam controller settings and they where all fine still not working.

Hey ZeroLiger128, I'm sorry to hear that your left trigger is not working in combat.

Have you tried deleting the options.ini file in Documents/For Honor ?

I would also advise to check that the Big Picture controller settings are disabled.
Here's how to proceed:

1. In Steam, click on the Big Picture Mode button at the upper right corner.
   This will open Steam Big Picture Mode, in full screen
   
2. Click on the Library button.
   
3. Select For Honor.
   
4. Click on the Manage Game button in the left-hand column.
   
5. Click on the Controller Options button.
   
6. Click the Steam Input Per-Game drop-down box.
   
7. Select Forced Off.
