This error usually means you launched and linked the game originally whilst logged in to a different Ubisoft account.
We can help you resolve it, but not on a public forum, so please create a support ticket for this {LINK REMOVED}here or contact us via live chat.
We will need you to provide uncropped images of your purchase in your Steam transaction history as well as the information below:
1) C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\cache\ownership
Can you see more than 1 profile ID here for more than 1 account? If so, please can you copy and paste the profile ID's in the ticket so we can check those accounts? You may also provide a screenshot of those.
2) If you only had 1 profile ID in the folder above, please provide your 17 digit Steam ID, as this may be able to help us find the original account it was linked to. You can find this on your Steam profile page. There will be a URL link near the top. The Steam ID will be the 17 digits at the end of the link.
3) Alternatively, if you can tell us any other usernames or email addresses you have, we can search for those to find any other accounts you own where the game may have linked to.
You will get an email reply from someone as soon as possible but you can post your case number on this thread after you have done this and we can also look into it then.

If you've lost access to your account we need some information in order to locate and recover the account and verify your ownership of that account, the info requested above will usually lead us to the correct account and in turn allow you to play the game. We can't force you to do this of course so if you'd rather delete the game from your account then that's your call.

Excellent. Glad to hear it's been resolved for you and thanks for returning to the thread to let us know.
Cheers

In this case, the best thing to do would be to reach out to our support specialists directly, as they'll be able to double-check that you don't have any other accounts you'd perhaps forgot you'd created previously where you may have registered your copy of For Honor. If they can't help you find an account, they'll be otherwise able to investigate further to see what the issue is. Please contact our specialists at any of the links below.

My apologies that I can't help more directly with this from here on the forum - the discussion will be about your account details, which we can't discuss publicly here, so it's best to reach out for a private chat

Hi. What if i refund the game then rebuy it. Will it be the same? Actually, i accidently create ubisoft account using wrong email. Then i create new account using my email and linked the new account to steam. But it show the aunthenticating problem message.
Hey there,
You could do that yes, however if you have any progression or purchases on this other Ubisoft account those will be lost. If you bought the game brand new and hadn't yet played or had only played a handful of times you could do this but I would still recommend opening a case with us first as we can likely recover this account for you without you having to refund and repurchase.
Thanks.

I have deleted your post as your case reference number isn't something that should be shared publicly. Someone will get back to you on your support case as soon as possible.
Thanks,
