Crash on startup
Game crashes shortly after the splash screen. I've reinstalled, deleted configs, verified game cache, launched through uPlay; I've got nothing.

me too, I tried everything ubisoft support told me to do and it still crashes every time I start up the game. This has been going on for months and I have know clue what to do either!

Is it just a black screen after starting it up? After the latest update i read somewhere, that you had to update your graphics card drivers. I had the immediate crash at startup, or rather just a freeze to a black screen. For me it helped to update them, even tho i previously used older drivers on purpose for other games.

No, it's a crash. UPlay generates a crash report that, of course, is in some format that I can't read so I haven't the foggiest notion about what's going on. My drivers, though, are up-to-date.

Have you tried googling whatever it says to see if other people with similar problems found a solution?

Of course. No one has had my specific problem since my game was launching normally, and the solutions of what old examples exist were either unapplicable or unhelpful- restart PC, drivers, reinstall, et cetera.

try these lad

1- verify gamefiles
2- turn off anti virus
3-run as admin
4-check read only on the game files
5-run the game as other windowses like 7 or xp and make sure ur windows is up to date
6-if you have ssd try that or empty your main drive and give the game more memory by task manager
7-re-install your u play :steambored:

1- I did, first thing
2- that's not the problem
3- I do by default for most of my applications
4- that didn't work, but I hadn't thought of that
5- my game has worked since last windows update, and if it were a windows compatibility issue, others would have the issue
6- it would be going into virtual memory before crash; it isn't even running out of RAM
7- I did, both passively and aggressively

thanks, though
