The game was free for grab at one point, we had 200k players on steam IIRC, none of them stuck around pretty much.

Ye but if the game becomes F2P pernamently then there might be hope that it can increase the playercount,but knowing ubisoft,i dont trust it

Millions of gamers already have For Honor but the vast majority doesn't want to play in this state.

Making the game free to play won't solve a thing.

While I understand OPs point, it would also make it even easier for cheaters to run rampant, ubi already barely does anything about this problem as is.

This game is way too hard, and being a beginner or casual player is not that fun. Most of the players would't stick around for too long. If u can't do a perfect parry and perma faints u will be destroyed every single time. U probably already know all of that cause u have 1500 hours in the game.

Ye i know but if they limit the matchmaking to say,people under rep 20 or so have their own matchamking it would be good so new players have enough time to learn

Yeah,i am not suprised cheaters still are going rampard,back when game just got released,i remember there was an massive boycot strike on reddit organized until ldevs do SMTh and they did,maybe we need another one of thoes

The player count is good enough to be honest with this game. There's currently 4000+ Just on steam right now. Then plus whatever amount using ubisoft only and then console too. It's quite large already. Never have had problems finding a group. Don't really think it needs to go F2P and the game can be pretty cheap too at times.

The problem is just the skill level. Casual players as it has been said already will play a few games and as soon as they come across more elite players who know more of what they are doing, they'll most likely leave. Unless they really have the urge to really practice. I get fed up so many times. I have good games and frustrating games where I uninstall and then re-install a few days later or a week or two. Always come back because the game in general is fun and just practice against the AI until I feel a little better to fight against actual players.

game already have bad scripters and lag switchers, there an whole community called boc. use cheats. making it free to play will kill this game faster

The problem isn't ownership its that people don't stick around. Myself included. The game is in a perpetual cycle of having roughly 3k players on all platforms. I don't think it's prime will ever come back.

Well what if they do a free week where you got a week to play and you keep the game like how it used to be,it could revive the playerbase for a bit atleastg
