like VG looks male enough doesn't even need a full change in model just a voice change
Seeing Varangian Guard as female is obviously what players didn't request and it was forced.
If Ubisoft want to include female, they should make Amazon hero.
like you would not make lawbringer/warlord/Shugoki gender locked into female that just doesn't work with the theme of those characters
but stuff like Nuxia PK and Nobushi and of course valkyrie makes total sense to be gender locked into being females
so depending on the new mongol characters weapon and armour im fine it it being gender locked to either one
but VG is straight on the line of all they need to do was give her a male/masculine voice option and everybody would probably be fine with it honestly
The problem is they are wasting all the good character concepts on female genderlock heros. Male pirate and male varangian were highly desired by a lot of people but they forced the 50 / 50 male female release and we got the ♥♥♥♥ we got. Who do these characters even appeal too? ubis diversity team?
both VG and pirate look male enoght to the point where
VG only needs a slight change in the chest area and a voice change and boom male alternative
Pirate would need much more work though as with the fashion and the face looks more feminine so much more work to give us a male alternative skin there
but there is no excuse for VG to be gender locked when it would take maybe a single day of work to change the model (Reduce the chest size) and maybe a few days of a voice actor going over the lines
and this would not be crazy expensive and cost like 20.000 USD or something
and this also would not remove a big amount of people from working on other things
If the character is fun, or unique, or cool, that is WAAAY more important than the fictional fantasy hero's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ genitals man.
just let players pick the gender themselves and everyone is happy there is no real reason not too
but i must admit, i do find it weird to gender lock a hero
makes total sense until you realise all VG as an example needs is a voice change and nothing else and several armour pieces basically already have the male body type
all VG would need to have is a voice change option if they cant even hire a male voice actor then its far too late and the game does not have funding
Why???
This is the first game I saw wherein Mongol Warriors are represented by female instead of male.
So the Male Mongols were the one doing house chores in yut or tent while the female are fighting?
Different genders means different voice acting, modeling for every armour which is basically resulting in almost double work. It is not simply removing boobies lol. I wish genderlock wasn't a thing, but reality hits hard on that one.
at least the next hero would be male then right? and hopefully a muscular barely clothed one like glad
