Honestly out of most the modern games i play For Honor is the only place i hear voice chat anymore

id guess risk of bans, some chat system are so trigger happy with bans that you might get banned for saying "hi sup" (yes, it happened to me once, that is apparnetly a personal insult), interaction is risk of ban, sadly... companies should let us chat freely and just add a properly working hide chat or block button... people bypass and break rules whether there is moderation or not.

players should have the liberty to solve the problem on their own, outside interference tends to be anti-consumer

Most people have text and voice chat blocked off. Probably to spare their mental health. As for me, I turn everything on because it feeds my competitive fire and makes winning more enjoyable when they talk a lot of sh*t and lose lol

ppl dont like trash talkers?.. i presonaly play with chat off, bc sometimes its toxic team, or toxic opp, and i dont rly care for what they have to say to me in this game, all my attention is on gameplay

well even on the first years of for honor no one used vc. As for text chat almost 90% of ppl have it for team chat only, which no one uses anyway. There's a few players that have it open for everyone tho. But most of em are trash talkers that t bag you lol

I took a break for a long while but i played this game pretty consistently since the first open beta - all the way up until they released Gryphon.

In my experience (on PC at least) I never really ran into people communicating. About 1 in every 20 games someone would have a melt down for no reason in text chat but it was uncommon. And i mean nobody wants to talk to a loser crashing out over a video game anyways.

I've met a few chill dudes here and there but all in all it feels like communication has always been pretty nonexistent for this game. It is the same now that I've dipped back in to play casually. In my like ~1,000 hours of experience though I am the only person who has ever used the voice chat; i got some text responses but nobody ever shot the ♥♥♥♥ with me verbally.

Cause console cannot see chat and a lot of PC players only have team chat on, plus most people just don't feel like using mics in solo queue and people stacking most likely just use discord or console parties

I see so many 'salty for honor' videos with people chatting, but it never happens here.

A lot of PC players play with friends through Discord, so in-game chat is turned off.

And I can't count the amount of times some annoying f"ck had their mic turned on only to breathe into it or be eating chips.
