Buffs and Nerfs
Buffs:
- LB and Conqueror now have side dodge bash animation akin to gladiator
- Shaman can get a guarantee bite from a heavy parry
- Kyoshin side attack have more outgoing range

Nerfs:
- VG chain blocked light attack is now counterable
- Orochi sides storm rush is now dodgeable
- VG and Hito side attack have less outgoing range
- Ocelotl can no longer chain bash on miss

Overall it's a good balancing patch, but Orochi doesn't deserve the nerf. He probably got down to B-C tier on a lot of comp players' list just from that change alone. It's such a huge pressure being released, now you can just wait for a top parry and react dodge if it's a side stormrush.

pretty sure that's incorrect, they have worse hitboxes but their forward movement (at least hito's) is unchanged, reducing the forward movement is what they're looking at doing next patch.
OP missed some stuff, so I'll list the whole thing:

Global change - You are fully guardbreak immune when being thrown. Not something I've ever noticed, but apparently some specific throws made followup GBs from teammates guaranteed. Sounds like it would have been cancer to deal with, so I'm glad they tackled that I guess.

Aramusha:
- Ring the Bell can be target swapped.

Varangian Guard:
- Chain link from light-light increased 100ms (300ms, from 200ms).
- Hitbox nerfs.

Sohei:
- Top light finisher now feeds the correct amount of revenge (9, from 30).

Orochi:
- Side Storm Rush attacks are no longer undodgeable.

Kyoshin:
- Hitbox buffs.

Hitokiri:
- Hitbox nerfs.

Lawbringer:
- Side dodge bash now has iframes 100ms-300ms into the move, and now has more side movement.

Conqueror:
- Side dodge bash now has iframes 100ms-300ms into the move, and now has more side movement.

Shaman:
- Her stance is now accessible 100ms earlier into a front or back dodge (100ms, from 200ms).

Ocelotl:
- His chain bash no longer chains on whiff.



This patch notes session was actually very disappointing in my eyes for a bunch of reasons. For one there wasn't nearly as much as I'd hoped and a large portion of the changes were just hitbox adjustments, which can be a big deal but are kinda boring and tough to judge just based on text. Also a number of changes here were kinda half measures for heroes that need big changes, like Sohei getting a minor bug fix instead of any notable buff, or Aramusha getting an extremely situational buff, or Hitokiri just getting hitbox changes, or LB not getting his roll catch, etc. But also a couple of the changes were just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane.

Specifically Shaman's bash being confirmed on heavy parry is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ nuts man, it does nothing to change her strengths in 4s while drastically buffing her duels... where she was already ♥♥♥♥♥♥ incredible and around a top 5 character. This buff is absolutely getting reverted, likely the very next patch. I also just think this has made her bash the fastest mixup from neutral in the game, but I could be wrong there.

For anyone curious this means with a wall she has a 22 damage heavy parry punish or a 17 heavy parry punish with bleed pressure, but by far the biggest issue is she gets a 50 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ health swing move whenever she parries a heavy from a bleeding opponent. That's pre CCU light parry numbers (literally, Lawbringer got 50 damage from his top heavy parry punish at one point). These dudes were on crack when they thought this ♥♥♥♥ up.

The Ocelotl nerf is also just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ massive, his chain bash was by far his strongest move and now it's kinda similar to Conq's. That is to say, unimpressive as hell. I can't guess just how viability killing this will be, but hell the character may be dead. He's going to have to rely on his 400ms lights a lot more, which are nice, but not nearly as good as his bash was and are much more punishable.
Seems the amount of crying from people towards VG finally paid off. :)
